Can’t decide between the breathtaking sights of Paris and the history-meets-modern marvels of London? Who said you couldn’t have it all? We’ve put together an incredible itinerary that takes you through the best of both cities in just eight days.
Day 1: Arrive in London
When you arrive in London for your England vacation, transfer to your hotel and enjoy your first meal, which could be afternoon tea or evening dinner (depending on arrival time). If you have the energy, take a walk around the area around your hotel to get a sense of the neighborhood.
Day 2: Visit the city’s landmarks and icons
Your London adventure has officially begun. After a hearty English breakfast, pay a visit to some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, such as Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, and Buckingham Palace. Don’t pass up the opportunity to get a bird’s eye view with a relaxing ride on the London Eye.
Day 3: Souvenir Shopping and high tea
Start your day at the Victoria and Albert Museum. We always recommend going to the most popular tourist attractions early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid crowds. After that, take a stroll through the nearby—and world-famous—department store Harrods to pick up some decadent souvenirs or gifts. Finally, unwind with afternoon tea at the Savoy, a must-do for any visitor. Is there anything better than fresh-baked scones topped with clotted cream, jam, and lemon curd?
Day 4: Begin with history and end with entertainment.
Visit the Tower of London to learn about some fascinating, sad, and, dare we say, gruesome historical tales, and then refresh your senses at London Bridge. Then take a stroll through St. Paul’s Cathedral, which has hosted weddings, jubilees, and funerals for some of England’s most distinguished royalty and citizens. Later, stroll down Oxford Street, grab a quick bite, and then see a West End play or musical.
Day 5: Travel from London to Paris
Pack your bags (once more), because you’re going to Paris! Take a Eurostar high-speed train and you’ll arrive in just over two hours. You’ll begin your France vacation in style as you fly through the country through the windows. After you’ve checked into your hotel and relaxed for a while, you can go out and explore your specific arrondissement a little more.
Day 6: The Seine and the Louvre
After a pastry-filled breakfast (croissants, croissants, croissants), take a Seine cruise to see this one-of-a-kind city from the water. Then stretch your legs by walking along the river’s banks to the famous Paris monuments and museums. The Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, and the Pompidou Center are among our favorites. In the evening, enjoy a delicious meal before exploring the city’s winding streets and marveling at the beautiful sights and lights after dark.
Day 7: Visiting the city’s landmarks
There is no better time to visit one of the most famous structures in the world now that you have been in Europe for a week. That’s right, have a short breakfast before visiting the famous Eiffel Tower. After that, cross the river and stroll down the Champs-Élysées, where you can enjoy the many outdoor cafés and stop for a cup of coffee after exploring the charming boulevards there. You can now go on your journey to the Arc de Triomphe where you can see the sunset and later the city lights of Paris sparkle. Enjoy French cuisine, Champagne, and a delectable dessert to cap off the day. (If you enjoy crème brûlée, Paris is the place to indulge.)
Day 8: Goodbye, Paris
After an amazing eight days, it’s time to pack up your baggage with all of your new European goods, check out of your hotel, and head to the airport. Before you leave, be sure to indulge in at least one more delicious French pastry. Ready to discover London and Paris for yourself? Contact Legitfakes today to start planning your perfect itinerary!
